Application Of Sillimanite Brick In The Glass Industry

Due to its excellent high temperature properties, adable features and simple manufactuing process, sillimanite brick is popular in the smelting industry, arospace in dustry, nuclear industry, glass industry, and ceramic industry. It is known as the king of refractories. 

Sillimanite brick is made of sillimanite minerals. Sillimanite minerals are calcined at high temperature and then transformed into mullite and free silica. It is usually made by the high temeprature sintering method and slurry casting method. 

 

Sillimanite brick is mainly used in the tin bath roof block. Since silllimanite brick has good high temperature stability, good erosion resistance to molten glass and low pollution to glass. it is suitable to be used in the forehearth and feeder. It can greatly improve the production efficiency.
