Main factors affecting the performance of mullite bricks

The mullite brick has high refractoriness, which can reach above 1790 °C, and the load softening start temperature is 1600~1700 °C. Normal temperature compressive strength is 70~260MPa. Good shock resistance. The mullite of Zhengzhou sunrise refractory material is converted into sintered mullite brick and fused mullite brick. The sintered mullite brick is made of high alumina bauxite clinker as a main raw material, and a small amount of clay and raw bauxite are added as a binder to be formed by molding and firing. The fused refractory brick is made of high alumina, industrial alumina and refractory clay, and is added with charcoal coke fine particles as a reducing agent, and is formed by reduction electrofusion after molding.

1. Alumina content, mullite phase.

2. Whether the physical and chemical indicators of mullite meet the requirements for producing mullite bricks.

3. The refractory temperature of mullite and the softening temperature of the load.

4. Whether the smelting method and the sintering method are strictly produced in accordance with the requirements for producing mullite bricks.

5. Whether the ratio of mullite particles to fine powder and other raw materials is as required.

6. Mixing of mud material, time of trapping material and moisture of mud material.

7. The bulk density of the mullite body and the smelting and sintering of the mullite brick.

In addition to the above factors that affect the performance of mullite bricks, there are other factors that also indirectly affect the performance of mullite bricks. The crystal of the fused mullite brick is larger than the sintered mullite, and the seismic performance is better than that of the sintered mullite. Their high temperature performance depends mainly on the alumina content and the uniformity of the mullite phase and glass distribution.
