Briefly describe the advantages of lightweight insulated fire bricks

Sunrise Refractory Lightweight Insulating Fire Brick is a kind of shaped refractory brick with porous structure, which has high apparent porosity and thermal insulation property. It is featured with low thermal conductivity, low bulk density, energy saving, lightweight and easy construction. Lightweight Insulating Fire Brick can service in the temperature about 900~2000℃. According to different raw materials structure, there are many types of insulating fire bricks, such as Lightweight Fireclay Brick, Lightweight Silica Bricks, Lightweight High Alumina Brick and so on.

Lightweight heat-insulating refractory bricks are heat-insulating materials, which can reduce the heat dissipation of the kiln body, save energy consumption of the kiln, and can also reduce the quality of the kiln and reduce the overall cost of the kiln. The main performance properties of lightweight insulating refractories are bulk density, porosity, thermal conductivity, service temperature and mechanical strength. There are not many insulation materials that fully meet the performance requirements. The disadvantage of lightweight refractory bricks is poor thermal insulation performance, which has the advantage of long-term high temperature resistance.
The pores in the lightweight refractory brick are made by adding lightweight aggregates such as combustibles, foaming agents or hollow spheres, so the pore size is large. These pores not only have a low heat insulation effect, but also affect the mechanical properties of the product. If the volume fraction of the pores is increased, many atmospheric pores will agglomerate and affect the strength of the insulating brick. However, lightweight insulating bricks have a lower specific surface area and a lower specific surface energy. Therefore, the thermodynamic stability is good. After being exposed to heat for a long time, it is not easy to deteriorate.
