Isostatic Pressing Technology To Produce Zircon Bricks
Zircon brick is one kind of refractory in which zircon is as the main crystal phase, it is an important firebrick in Zircon related refractory bricks. It is acid refractory with the advantages of high mechanical strength, high refractoriness under load, excellent thermal shock stability, good creep resistance and good corrosion resistance to glass liquid. As the main raw material used is high pure zircon and the raw material will be special handled which will make the material more pure and easier to sintered, most of all, isostatic pressing technology is adopted to produce Zircon brick which is also an important factor to lead to its good features.
isostatic pressing technology is one of material processing methods, which compresses materials by applying high temperature of several hundreds to 2000 °C and isostatic pressure of several tens to 200MPa at the same time. The working principle of isostatic pressing technology is that the pressure of the medium (liquid or gas) in a sealed container can be transmitted equally in all directions. Isostatic pressing technology has existed about 70 years history, was initially used in powder molding of powder metallurgy. In the past 20 years, Isostatic pressing technology has been widely used in ceramic casting, atomic energy, tool manufacturing, plastics, glass industry, high performance material, military and other fields
As a molding technology , compared with conventional molding techniques, isostatic pressing technology has the following advantages：

According to above mentioned method, obviously Zircon brick has excellent performance for glass furnace use when adopts this method, with the excellent features, Zircon brick can especially be used as superstructure bricks of flame space and bottom bricks of glass furnace.
