Factors Affecting Service Life Of Glass Furnace

Glass furnace is the main equipment and heart of glass industrial. The service life of glass furnace is generally referred to the age of a furnace and it is also referred to the overhaul period of furnace, so service life of glass furnace is an important design parameter of glass furnace. The main factors affecting the service life is not related to the reasonable design of glass furnace structure and reasonable refractory(such as the upper structure of glass furnace usually selects zircon brick), manufacturing process is also in considering at the same time. Below several factors can be considering to prolong service life of glass furnace:

 

1. In the formulation design, reduce corrosive chemical substances using as far as possible. Reduce the melting coefficient of glass as far as possible, which can reduce the melting temperature.
 

2. Keep appropriate and stable melting temperature, and be sure to avoid the big fluctuation of the temperature.
 

3. Control the particle distribution of mineral material strictly, aiming to reduce the corrosion of fine powder material to refractory.
 

4. Control the total iron content in raw materials, and must eliminate impurity iron in the broken glass.
 

5. Add appropriate moisture to the material to inhibit the generation of the fly material.
